The current building improvements taking place at The Old Courthouse will;
The building work includes;
installation of an entrance porch on the north side of the building
levelling a floor at the south side of the building
creating a raised terrace at the front of the building
regrading the car park
We have been awarded £86500 from the LEADER Cumbria Fells and Dales programme towards the £115,000 cost of the improvements. We are still seeking funding to cover the remaining £9,000 of the building costs. We are grateful to all those below who have provided match funding to date for the project and to Hanson, Shap Beck Quarry who have pledged to provide the materials needed to carry out the resurfacing work of the forecourt to facilitate accessibility.
